The Stash Patch is a larger hook-and-loop panel designed for the wider webbing on packs and wading belts. It gives you a stable place to carry items you don’t need all the time but want ready the moment you do — things like floatant, silicone Mucilin, fullers-earth mud, or small tools.

Why I Made It

Some bits of gear are useful only in certain conditions, and I didn’t want them hanging off me all day, creating snag points or unnecessary clutter. I wanted a way to keep those items tucked away until needed, then mount them securely and quickly without rummaging. The Stash Patch solves that: a clean, predictable spot to deploy occasional-use items at short notice.

How I Use Mine

I don’t want all my gear on the outside of the pack all of the time becuase it creates a snag point that can lead to a tangle so I have 2 stash patches on my pack for occasional use items.

For instance, on cold days floatant and mud stay in my pack until the fishing calls for them. If the fish start rising, I take them out and park them on a Stash Patch so they are ready to hand.

A useful extra is the ability to move the patch depending on the situation. If I’m working a tight bank, fishing from an awkward angle, or just want things on the opposite side for comfort, I can reposition it easily. It adapts to whatever the day requires.

Fit & Custom Sizing

Every Stash Patch is made to order. Tell me what pack or belt you’re using and what you plan to carry, and I’ll size the patch to suit. You can go narrow for shoulder webbing or larger for a belt — the flexibility in sizing is one of the main strengths of this design.

Materials

  • 600D Cordura for structure and durability
